RuneScape adds Elder God Wars: The Croesus Front on September 27
September 27 will be a big day in the world of Gielinor as the first Skilled Boss makes its way to RuneScape. In the next installment of the Elder Gods, you'll have to defeat Croesus using your mining, woodcarving, hunting, fishing and construction skills - and they won't fade away easily.
Jagex said there are no skills or combat requirements to take a fight, although he recommends that you be at least level 80 in all of the above skills. Croesus attacks will weaken your abilities - which means that the higher the level, the longer you will last. Of course, you also need to be a RuneScape member to deal with the new content.
Since Croesus is a whole new type of boss fight, you'll want to take a closer look at how to defeat them before you start the fight. Luckily, Jagex has you covered - check out the trailer below to see Croesus in action:
"Work as a team and use your skills to remove mushrooms from the dead creatures at the edge of the arena," said Jagex of the boss fight. “When you gather enough resources and weaken Croesus enough, you can repair four heroic statues. Once restored to their former glory, they will glow brightly and shoot a cleansing beam of light at the boss.
This will temporarily suppress Croesus and give you access to the mushroom core from which the boss draws most of his power. Hack this path to weaken Croesus even more. After a while, Croesus will go back to guarding the core, so you'll have to restore another statue to get it back. Once the mushroom core is completely removed, Croesus will go back to sleep - and you will be able to claim your rewards.
Elder God Wars: The Creesus Front hits RuneScape on September 27.
