Jagex releases the Runescape inspired game Melvor Idle
Jagex, the developer of Runescape, has selected a promising independent release for their label Jagex Partners, making Melvor Idle independent. Like games like Clicker Heroes and Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, this idler game was released on Steam last year and takes inspiration from Jagex's flagship Runescape very proudly.
Melvor Idle is a detailed, multi-track idle game that aims to "discover the essentials of the RuneScape series in such a way that you can enjoy it freely," says the publisher. It's a fairly feature-rich idle game that has a lot of things to do and move forward, as well as an emphasis on a zero prestige mechanic that requires you to restart the game.
Jagex apparently found out about the project in early 2020, and many of the publisher's employees were fans of the project after Steam officially launched in October of this year.
As you can imagine, the developer is very happy to connect with the developers of one of their favorite games. "Being able to work directly on it with Jagex is a dream come true," said Brendan Malcolm, solo programmer at Melvor Idle Games by Malcs.
Malcolm posted lengthy questions and answers to the Reddit community, making it clear that he would retain full creative control in the future and that the game's monetization model for a single purchase would not change. He said Jagex "doesn't want" to change Melvor Idle. Under the publishing agreement, Jagex will be responsible for marketing, localization, technical support and QA for Melvor Idle.
You can try Melvor Idle for free on the official website and buy it on Steam. I opened it with this story, and I'm already very good at felling trees.
This article ends here. I'd like to say if you do not know how to select a legitimate website when you are trying to buy RuneScape gold & RS3 gold, RSGoldFast.com is your best choice.
