You'll explore the sandbox, build your brand, and interact with agents, CEOs, and more. Rather than following a linear storyline, you can take on side quests such as becoming a music producer or fashion designer as you pursue your overall goal of playing the NBA.


In addition, seasonal updates bring new quests and storylines to the game, and you can unlock a new set of rewards every six weeks. You can take part in cycling races and of course you can play online on open world tracks against other players. There will even be new matchmaking buildings, so you don't have to wait in line if you don't want to.


2K Sports has added tons of NPCs to make the environment more alive than its predecessors, and of course there will be a few shops and other attractions to interact with. It's unclear how the story will play out on PS4 - the new cruise ship-inspired neighborhood feels much smaller than the city - but we'll try to give you a review of both versions if possible.


You can explore by bike, skateboard or rollerblades - as previously reported, the overall reward for reaching level 40 in the first season is a go-kart. It should be fun!
