ARC Raiders Turnabout Quest Walkthrough
The Turnabout quest is a pivotal mission in ARC Raiders, assigned by Celeste in the Speranza hub after completing the "Digging Up Dirt" quest. It blends stealth, combat, and navigation, tasking players with infiltrating the Spaceport's North Trench Tower to upload blackmail files against OTTM. While not overly complex, the quest requires careful preparation and attention to detail to avoid costly mistakes-like wasting the crucial Spaceport Trench Tower Key. This guide breaks down every step, from quest acceptance to final rewards, ensuring a smooth completion.
1. Pre-Quest Preparation: Gather What You Need
Before heading to the Spaceport, take time to prepare. First, accept the Turnabout quest directly from Celeste in Speranza. Upon acceptance, she will grant you a Spaceport Trench Tower Key-this ARC Raiders Items is non-negotiable for accessing the tower, so treat it with care.
Check your stash's "Keys" section to confirm the key is present, then move it to your raid inventory. Forgetting to transfer the key will force you to abort the mission and start over, so double-check this step before queuing for a raid.
Equip a loadout suited for close-quarters combat (CQC) and stealth. Suppressed weapons or melee attacks are ideal for navigating the tower's narrow hallways, as they reduce the chance of alerting enemies. Also, bring healing items and a reliable weapon to fend off patrols, as the Spaceport is often populated with hostile drones and Bastions.
2. Navigate to the Spaceport and Locate the North Trench Tower
Once prepared, queue for a raid on the Spaceport map. This is the only location where the Turnabout quest can be completed, so ensure you select the correct map before loading in.
The North Trench Tower is situated at the northernmost tip of the Spaceport, between the western and eastern hangars. As you approach, stay alert-this area is a hot spot for other players (who may steal your loot or interfere) and enemy patrols, including Rocketeers in the skies and Bastions on the ground.
Stick to cover and move cautiously. Avoid engaging unnecessary enemies to conserve ammo and health; your goal is to reach the tower, not clear the entire area. If you spot other raiders, keep your distance unless they pose a direct threat.
3. Enter the North Trench Tower
When you reach the North Trench Tower, locate the locked door at its base. Use the Spaceport Trench Tower Key to unlock it-but be careful: the key also works on the South Trench Tower, so double-check you're at the correct tower to avoid wasting the key.
Immediately after unlocking the door, clear any enemies inside the tower. Pops and Fireballs are common here, and they can interrupt your progress if left unchecked. Take a moment to eliminate these threats before moving upward.
Climb the staircase inside the tower to reach the upper level. The stairs are usually on either side of the entrance; if you entered from the east, the stairs will be to your right, and vice versa. Take your time-there may be additional enemies hiding on the stairs or upper floor.
4. Upload the Blackmail Files and Complete the Quest
On the upper level of the tower, look for a glowing yellow terminal. This is where you will upload the blackmail files to Celeste. Approach the terminal and interact with it-this action will start the upload process, which takes a few seconds to complete.
Defend yourself during the upload: enemies often rush from the stairwell to stop you. Use your CQC loadout to fend them off, and prioritize healing if your health drops low. The upload cannot be interrupted once it starts, but staying alive is critical to ensuring it finishes successfully.
Once the upload is complete, the quest objective will mark as finished. You can now extract from the Spaceport raid-using the central elevator is the easiest way to escape safely. Before extracting, take a moment to loot the tower: it often contains valuable crafting materials and loot worth collecting.
5. Handle Common Issues: Lost or Missing Key
If you lose the Spaceport Trench Tower Key (or it's missing from your stash), don't panic. You can obtain a new key by looting residential areas, with the Ruby Residence on the west side of the Dam Battlegrounds map being a reliable spot. Keys have a low drop rate, so you may need to run the Dam Battlegrounds map a few times to find one.
Ensure your stash has free slots before searching for a new key-cluttered stashes can prevent keys from spawning. Once you have a new key, repeat the steps above to complete the quest.
6. Claim Your Rewards
After extracting from the Spaceport, return to Speranza and talk to Celeste via the Trader tab. She will reward you for completing the Turnabout quest with 2 Heavy Gun Parts and 2 Medium Gun Parts-valuable components for upgrading your weapons.
While the Turnabout quest is relatively straightforward, it teaches valuable skills for future missions, such as navigation, stealth, and resource management. Completing it also advances your relationship with Celeste, unlocking more challenging quests down the line. If you want more resources, you can choose to buy ARC Raiders Gear to acquire them quickly.
With this guide, you should have no trouble completing the Turnabout quest. Remember to prepare your loadout, protect your key, and stay alert-and you'll be one step closer to mastering ARC Raiders' dynamic quest system.
