Aion 2 Raid Guide: Muspel Hard Mode – 1st Raid Complete Strategy

Welcome, adventurers. This guide covers the Muspel Hard Mode 1st Raid from start to finish. You will learn party split positioning, dangerous normal patterns, major mechanic phases, and hidden tips that will save your resurrection stones. And if you ever need to fund your consumables or upgrade your gear without hours of farming, you can buy Aion 2 Kinah to keep your raid preparations smooth and uninterrupted.

1. Party Split – Left and Right at the Entrance

When you enter the Muspel Hard Mode 1st Raid, you will see two paths: left and right.

Party 1 takes the left path.

Party 2 takes the right path.

After moving down, you will find a blue glowing zone. One person from each party should stay inside the blue zone. The remaining three members of each party should move forward and destroy the stone tablets.

Once the tablets are destroyed, you will arrive in front of the 1st raid boss.

2. Pre-Fight Tip – Change Your Title for More Survivability

Before engaging the boss, there is a very useful trick.

Remove the "Evil Eye" title (or any title that does not help with defense). Instead, equip the "Nightmare" title, which grants 10% Boss Damage Reduction.

This simple change allows you to survive normal patterns much longer. It is highly recommended for all party members.

Tip from the guide: "Swapping titles is very much recommended."

3. Opening Mechanic – The Fixed Teleport Slash Pattern

When you first touch the boss, it will immediately perform a teleport slash pattern. This pattern is always fixed and happens every time:

The boss teleports.

It slashes the front area.

The inner area explodes.

Then the outer area explodes.

Learn this sequence. It is not random. After this opener, various random normal patterns will appear.

4. Two Most Dangerous Normal Patterns

Among all the random normal patterns, two are extremely dangerous and cause the most wipes. Learn to recognize and counter both.

First Dangerous Pattern – The Laser Pattern

There are two types of laser patterns:

Type A: Lasers start from behind and converge forward.

Type B: Lasers start from diagonal angles and rotate.

These lasers look slow, but they act like a blender – they will destroy your resurrection stones very quickly.

How to recognize the laser: Before the lasers appear, a red energy aura flickers around the boss's body. Then the boss fires lasers from both hands.

How to survive: Even a slight touch from the laser is fatal. You must jump over it with Shift like a jump rope.

Positioning trick: If all damage dealers position themselves behind the central pillar before the lasers start, both laser types become much easier to dodge.

For lasers from behind: The center rear is safe.

For diagonal lasers: You can jump over them with Shift before they reach the center.

Second Dangerous Pattern – The Bead/Rosary Pattern

When you see the boss wrapping beads (or a rosary) around its body, react immediately.

What to do: Move so that the floor zones (AoE circles) do not overlap. These zones explode very quickly, so you must react as soon as you see the beads around the boss.

Cooldown Awareness – Save Your Resurrection Stones

Both the Laser Pattern and the Bead Pattern have internal cooldowns. Once one appears, it will not appear again for a certain period.

If you recognize that a dangerous pattern is likely coming soon and prepare to dodge with Shift, you can save your resurrection stones very effectively.

5. Major Mechanic Phases – Step by Step

First Major Mechanic – Red and Green Lines (Around 80% HP)

When the boss's HP reaches approximately 80% , the first major mechanic begins.

The boss moves to the center.

Red lines and green lines appear in sequence.

Positioning:

Party 1 stands in the red line.

Party 2 stands in the green line.

What to do: Both parties must tank the projectiles that come along their respective lines. The projectiles pierce, so two or more people can stand in the same line – you do not need exactly one person per line.

After taking the projectiles:

Party 1 (red) must hit the red orbs (knock them away).

Party 2 (green) must hit the green orbs outward, away from each other.

Once the orbs are separated, survive in the inner area until the mechanic ends.

Second Major Mechanic – Four Orbs (After One Health Bar is Depleted)

After depleting one full health bar from the boss, four orbs appear – two red, two green – in the cardinal directions relative to the boss:

Red orbs appear at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock.

Green orbs appear at 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock.

Assignments:

Party 1 – Members 1 and 2 take the 3 o'clock (red) orb.

Party 1 – Members 3 and 4 take the 9 o'clock (red) orb.

Party 2 – Members 1 and 2 take the 6 o'clock (green) orb.

Party 2 – Members 3 and 4 take the 12 o'clock (green) orb.

Dribbling (knock) instructions:

Avoid the black hole in front of you.

Knock the orb in a diagonal parabolic curve toward the outer portal.

Once the orb enters the portal, a line will appear. Align that line toward the boss.

Quote from the guide: "How is it? Simple, right?"

Third Major Mechanic – Six Orbs (At 50% HP)

When the boss's HP reaches 50% , red and green orbs appear at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock.

Move to your pre-assigned positions (same as the previous mechanic).

Knock the orbs far away from each other.

That is the entire mechanic – no additional twists yet.

Fourth Major Mechanic – Final Dribble Phase (One Health Bar Remaining)

When the boss has approximately one health bar remaining, the same orb-dribbling mechanic appears one more time.

However, there is an additional danger: A cross-shaped AoE (floor zone) appears beneath each player's feet.

New tip for this phase:
If two people hit an orb at the same time, the direction can become skewed or unpredictable. Instead:

One person goes first – avoids the black hole and dribbles the orb diagonally.

The other person waits, then pushes the orb toward the portal.

This two-step method makes dribbling much easier and safer while avoiding the cross-shaped AoEs.

6. Other Important Patterns to Remember

Block Zones After Teleport

The boss will sometimes teleport and create block zones (shield-shaped AoEs) on the floor.

Melee damage dealers must enter these zones and perform the block action.

When the boss's HP drops below 50% , two block zones may appear far apart from each other.

After each teleport, always look for the block zones quickly.

Purple Orbs and Tornadoes

When the boss spreads both hands open and purple orbs appear:

Tornadoes will spawn around the area. These are easy to dodge on their own.

But: There is a 99% chance that a laser pattern follows immediately after the tornadoes.

Remember how dangerous the laser pattern is. Whenever you see tornadoes, prepare to dodge lasers right afterward.

7. Final Push – Clear Condition

After surviving all major mechanics and dangerous normal patterns, continue dealing damage while executing the remaining mechanics until the yellow health bar (last bar) is depleted. The boss will then be cleared.

8. Full Run Recommendation

The guide recommends watching a full clear video to see the overall flow of all mechanics together. Once you see how each phase transitions into the next, the 1st Raid becomes much easier to clear.

Summary Checklist for Raid Leaders

Before starting:

Party 1 takes the left path. Party 2 takes the right path.

One person per party stays in the blue zone. Three forward destroy tablets.

Everyone swaps to the Nightmare title for 10% boss damage reduction.

Normal patterns to track:

Laser pattern – red aura appears, then jump over with Shift. Position behind the central pillar when possible.

Bead pattern – beads wrap around the boss. Spread AoEs without overlapping.

Major mechanics by health:

At 80% HP – Red and green lines. Party 1 in red, Party 2 in green. Tank projectiles, then knock orbs outward.

After one health bar depleted – Four orbs. Use pre-assigned positions. Dribble diagonally into portals.

At 50% HP – Six orbs. Same positions. Knock orbs apart.

Final health bar – Same orb mechanic plus cross AoEs beneath feet. Dribble one person at a time, not both simultaneously.

Extra dangers to watch for:

After teleport – Find and stand in block zones. Below 50% HP, look for two separate zones.

Purple orbs and tornadoes – The moment you see these, prepare to dodge lasers immediately after. To make your raid progression smoother without grinding endlessly for consumables and gear, you can find Aion 2 items for sale at MMOEXP, a reliable marketplace for all your in-game needs.
