The Ironman group will appear on OSRS this fall
Ironman Mode is one of the most popular ways to play Old School RuneScape. A few years ago, the Jagex Group announced Ironman for the Old School version of the game. The release is now in sight.
After being delayed multiple times, the Group Ironman Mode release finally seems to be visible to Old School RuneScape. In Group Ironman, you are an Ironman with the same limitations as you are used to, but you can do many things in your own Ironman group. the expected release date was announced at the Summer Summit Livestream.
As an Ironman player, you are alone in RuneScape. You cannot trade with other players, you have to get everything yourself. For Group Ironman, the same rules apply, except for members of your group. A group consists of 2 to 5 players and you can trade within this group. This mode also receives a unique high score category, allowing you to compete with other groups for a higher rank.
In collaboration with some of the well-known RuneScape players, Jagex has made a video to introduce the various possible groups.
Despite Old School RuneScape being one of the most popular MMORPGs right now, Ironman is one of the most played modes in the game. This takes away all the benefits of playing in a shared open world, but makes it an extra challenge for you. Everything you wear you have achieved yourself, without buying it from other players.
