OSRS brings the esports tournament to life in Deadman: Reborn
Over the next four weeks, thousands of players will compete for the $ 32,000 prize pool, but only one champion will make Old School history.
The Old School RuneScape PvP Tournament is back today with the launch of Deadman: Reborn. The competitive survival mode is back with drastic changes, offering an experience like nothing else in Old School RuneScape.
The Old School RuneScape team is working to take the experience to the next level since its predecessor. Introducing more risk, serious gameplay with rewards and forcing players into a merciless environment where they have to compete with each other.
One of the most important features of Deadman: Reborn is the Three Life system. When each player respawns in the game, he has three lives; no XP is lost after losing the first two lives, but after a player's last death they lose all Combat XP, 10% skill XP, but luckily their mission progress is not reset. Another key change is the introduction of combat-level bracket worlds, which will essentially act as a barrier to prevent higher-level players from stomping on lower-level players.
Inspired by Old School RuneScape Leagues, the development team has also introduced Deadman Sigils, an extra layer of powerful tweaks that will improve the gameplay experience. Packed over three levels, each with more power than the previous one, the Signs affect combat, skill, and utility. Additional Marks can be obtained as drops from NPCs, and can also be bought or sold to other players on the Grand Exchange.
The month-long season will reach a dramatic climax during the Deadman: Reborn finale on Friday September 17, where over 2,000 elite players will compete in the fierce 1v1 stage. The most fearless player will be the winner and will make Old School RuneScape history, not to mention the lion's share of the generous prize in the amount of $ 32,000!
1st place: $ 20,000
2nd Place: $ 10,000
3rd and 4th Place: $ 1,000
5th - 16th place: subscription for 12 months
