How to get free Treasure Hunter keys in RuneScape?

Earning Treasure Hunter Keys in-game
You can earn three free Treasure Hunter keys each day by completing Daily Challenges if you are a paid member. These are short tasks that usually don't take more than a few minutes to complete.
Usually these are things like "Daily 0/10 cutting" and all you have to do is chop down 10 trees of any kind to get the job done. You don't have to hand over the collected materials to complete the quest anymore, which is a nice bonus,
For every three challenges you complete, you'll progress towards a weekly tracking which offers other great rewards, but no free treasure hunter keys.
Complete endless surveys
While it's never the funniest way to do things, Jagex lets you complete polls or mindless tasks to get your treasure hunter's keys. It's worth pointing out that this involved giving a lot of data to the survey provider, so if you're not comfortable with it, don't even do both.
Tasks may include signing up for free trials and entering a contest, but unless you have shell email accounts and data to use, it's probably not worth going back.
Complete missions
Completing the mission is rewarded with Treasure Hunter Keys. All quests will be rewarded with 2 keys.
It's worth checking to see if you have quick and easy missions to complete to get some keys.

You can also use the Oddments you earn by using the Treasure Hunter Keys daily to buy even more keys!
Only 30 can be purchased per day and the base cost is 450 Courses which means it takes a long time to build up the time to pay 30 in one day. There will be periodic sales where keys can be heavily discounted, so it's worth waiting for the sale to buy one.
Skills and Kills
Keys can be obtained by killing almost every monster in the game, although this is a rare drop.
