Four things we want from FIFA in 2022
EA SPORTS has another successful 12 months behind it as the FIFA 21 and FIFA 22 releases end, but in 2022 there are still four important deliverables to take the series to the next level.
There are still a lot of improvements that can improve the FIFA 22 and FIFA 23 facilities… if that's what they are called. A public brawl between the developers and FIFA over naming rights has called the franchise's future into question, at least from the title point of view.
Some potential changes would meet fan wishes, and others could respond to long-standing criticism of the series.
With that in mind, we've gathered four things we'd love to see in the FIFA series in 2022.
Online tournaments
Somewhere along the way, the series was more about winning lots than about friendly contests among friends. This is something we'd love to see in FIFA 22 and more.
Many longtime fans got their first taste of FIFA in a sweaty lounge surrounded by a group of friends playing until the early hours of the morning in a custom tournament. As the series began to favor the online format, the creators seem to have paid less attention to it.
Of course, it's still possible to host their own online competitions if they want to keep up with themselves. But full tournament support, along with official leagues, rules and competitions, would give soccer fans endless hours of fun during those big Saturday gaming sessions.
Crossplay
Considering how many other pending titles have introduced crossplay like Fortnite and Call of Duty, it seems increasingly weird that FIFA still doesn't support this feature. What's even more surprising is that owners of current and last-gen consoles cannot play together despite being in the same console ecosystem.
Currently, owners of the PS5 and Xbox series are forced to install two versions of the same game if they want to play with friends on the last generation. Meanwhile, social groups on various platforms cannot gather for a Pro Clubs session or play co-op seasons at all.
There are no real downsides to having players play across all devices together, and that is certainly how the gaming industry is evolving. Many hope EA SPORTS will notice that the long-forgotten Pro Clubs can be reformed after years of being separated from each other by different consoles.
More Pro Clubs support
While Ultimate Team is without a doubt a great FIFA attraction, Pro Clubs holds a special place in the hearts of many players. Meeting a group of friends, creating your own club and leveling up in divisions is one of the most rewarding experiences the game has to offer and adds a social aspect that is lacking in other modes.
But despite the love of the community, Pro Clubs has fallen behind since FUT became a reliable money printer. It has remained largely untouched for many years, and the upcoming updates are either symbolic gestures or features you'd expect there, such as customizing AI players.
There is so much potential here for the game mode to thrive. The mode seems tailored for a Season Progression system like the one in FUT, where players can unlock custom stadiums, bizarre outfits, and team celebrations.
Quality over quantity with promos
Promotions make or break the Ultimate Team season, and the devs generally have a pretty good hit rate. But so far in FIFA 22, despite the fast and dense promotional events, they have been inconsistent to say the least.
For every rule breaker or Winter Wilcard that gave players awesome cards to boost their team with, there’s been a dud like Number Up.
Therefore, we would like there to be fewer promotions in 2022 if that means the promotions we receive will have an impact. There has been no event in FIFA 22 for several weeks, so a slight delay could make the community even more hungry for what EA is preparing.
This was all we wanted to see in the FIFA series in 2022, both in FIFA 22 and in the next installment coming next fall. We hope that the future of FIFA will be bright with some of these additions.
This article ends here. I'd like to say if you do not know how to select a legitimate website when you are trying to buy FIFA 22 Coins, MMoexp.com is your best choice.
