During the initial reveal Mut 20 coins I was underwhelmed
My expectations for Madden 20 weren't really high.
During the initial reveal Mut 20 coins I was underwhelmed with the features that were introduced, and I didn't think there was enough done to enhance my favorite part of the game, which is franchise mode. After spending the past week playing the game, I've been pleasantly surprised in a variety of ways.
The Face of the Franchise single-player experience got a lot of attention during the pre-release build, and it worried me. I wasn't sure how compelling it would be, and I hoped it wouldn't be too much of a focus considering there are some other holes I'd like to see filled with the Madden experience.
The more I think about it, being a year-over-year fan of a sports gaming series is a lot like being a fan of a football team. Every year there is a new product, and you're hoping to see the folks in charge do their best to improve weaknesses and introduce new strengths. Too much focus on the QB position or the QB1 mode can lead to deficiencies elsewhere.
Those were my initial concerns, but as it turned out, there is some good balance across the board. Don't get me wrong, there are still some of the same legacy issues that we've come to groan about with Madden, but there are some fixes and new qualities too.
Allow me to be more specific.
Forget about seeing a significant leap in visuals in Madden or any other sports video game series on the current generation of consoles. I don't believe we'll have another wow moment when looking at a sports game until the PlayStation 5 and Project Scarlet are released.
That said, EA has done well to polish their already attractive visual product. It's all about lighting and textures. The colors pop a little more every year, but again, this isn't anything that will shake your foundation, but it's still worth mentioning.
Commentary Still Strong (In all modes)
Over the last few years, Madden has crept up on the NBA 2K series with its commentary work, and that continues in Madden 20. While I mostly enjoy the evolutionary commentary in franchise mode, I also appreciate the specific dialog in Face of the Franchise, which we'll get into a bit more later, and even in Madden Ultimate Team.
There is some room for improvement on that front, which I'll also break down, but overall Brandon Gaudin and Charles Davis are still the best tandem in any virtual booth.
Superstar X-Factors Create In-Game Stories And Aren't Overly Cheesy
When the Superstar X-Factor concept was announced, I thought I'd hate it. It felt like it wouldn't align with traditional football concepts and that it would be a delta to a river of overpowered players. Thankfully, that isn't the case. Remember what I said about storytelling in every part of the game? The Superstar X-Factors bring that element to every single game of Madden 20.
The players with Zone abilities have to progress to that level by attaining specific benchmarks cheap Mut 20 coins In turn, the opposition has to cancel these abilities out by causing failures. This dynamic becomes a game within each game, and thus it helps to craft a unique story for every matchup.
Because it rarely borders on the ridiculous, it quite simply makes every game more fun to play.
